The Interaction of Aeolian Sand and Slope on Runoff and Soil Loss on a Loess Slope via Simulated Rainfall under Laboratory Conditions

چکیده
The wind–water erosion crisscross region, where the topography is complicated, most severe area of soil on Loess Plateau. wind and terrain both have an impact water process. In order to evaluate effects sand cover runoff loss characteristics, a series experiments was conducted in two contrasting treatments. One treatment bare loess slope serving as control, others were sand-covered slopes with five different slopes. results showed that time, total yield, between 15°. sediment concentration significantly higher than during entire rainfall process (p < 0.05). increase gradient shortened surface initiation times enhanced volume loss. 39.7 L 44.3 kg, respectively, 10°. When increased from 10° 30°, by 22.8 42.8 while 300 s. For slopes, processes appeared be mainly dominated transport. correlation rates gradients demonstrated secondary polynomial function. addition, critical approximately 23° 28°. proportion responsible for 3:1, which means effect more important terrace factor terms region. provide theoretical basis control this area.

soil erosion under simulated rainfall in loess lands with emphasis on land-use, slope and aspect
the runoff generation and soil erosion in the kechik watershed, golestan province, was assessed, using a designed and constructed portable rainfall simulator. treatments were applied on different land-uses, slopes and aspects as the most influential factors. results showed that land-use significantly affected runoff generation (13.35 l, 6.9 l, and 4.12 l, respectively for agriculture, forest an...
متن کاملEffect of natural land covers on runoff and soil loss at the hill slope scale
Erosion plots were selected for characterizing the effects of main natural factors on runoff and soil loss in a semi-arid region. These erosion plots with an area of 40 m2 are located in the Kakhk experimental watershed in Gonabad County of Khorasan-e Razave Province in the north-eastern Iran. Data acquired from 2008 to 2015 include slope, aspect, soil texture and land covers (canopy...
متن کاملInteraction Effect of Slope Aspect and Precipitation Intensity in Runoff and Sediment in Acid Rainfall
Soils are severely damaged by acid rain; acid rain also leads to excessive dissolving of minerals and valuable nutrients in the soil, which weakens vegetation. In this study, in order to determine the interaction effect between the slope aspect and precipitation intensity relative to acid rainfall in the Aghajari and Gachsaran formations, a part of Margha and Kuhe Gach watersheds of Izeh city w...
متن کاملInvestigation of Rainfall-Runoff Processes and Soil Moisture Dynamics in Grassland Plots under Simulated Rainfall Conditions
The characteristics of rainfall-runoff are important aspects of hydrological processes. In this study, rainfall-runoff processes and soil moisture dynamics at different soil depths and slope positions of grassland with two different row spacings (5 cm and 10 cm, respectively, referred to as R5 and R10) were analyzed, by means of a solution of rainfall simulation experiments. Bare land was also ...
